THE MANUAL CAMERA
WHAT TO DO…
You need to show your understanding of the manual camera settings, especially shutter speed and aperture, using photographs that you have taken to showcase these ideas.
Research exposure, shutter speed, aperture, depth of field and film speed (ISO). Use some of the suggested sources here, as well as others that you find yourself to complete your research. Start to take photographs that illustrate the following seven categories.
CORRECT EXPOSURE
OVER EXPOSURE - TOO MUCH LIGHT
UNDER EXPOSURE - NOT ENOUGH LIGHT
CAPTURING MOVEMENT - SLOW SHUTTER SPEED
FREEZING ACTION/STOPPING MOTION - FAST SHUTTER SPEED
SHORT DEPTH OF FIELD - FOREGROUND ONLY IN FOCUS
GREAT DEPTH OF FIELD - ALL OF IMAGE IN FOCUS
Always add the title caption, shutter speed, aperture and ISO information, as shown in the examples (below) Add information about the various terms.
